Construit en 1487, cet édifice le long de la rue (19 rue du Boeuf) a adopté le nom de l’enseigne, faite de pierres sculptées par le marchand de volailles en 1708, portant la devise : ‘Je vaux mieux que tous les gibiers’. Cette enseigne représente une outarde, une espèce de pintade sauvage. La petite outarde, également appelée canepetière, est un oiseau échassier rare autrefois prisé pour sa chair délicieuse.
