Access points are closed, the banks are impassable, and even the Terrasses de l&#039;\u00cele Barbe are flooded. An impressive situation\u2026 but far from unprecedented in Lyon&#039;s history.<\/p>\n\n<\/section><section>\n<h2>A spectacular rise in water levels<\/h2>\nAt Couzon-au-Mont-d&#039;Or, the Sa\u00f4ne reached <strong>5.70 meters<\/strong>, compared to 3.15 meters a week earlier. A dramatic rise, accompanied by a flow rate nearing... <strong>1,500 m\u00b3\/s<\/strong>. In other words: a veritable waterway crossing the metropolis.
