This house, wrongly nicknamed \u201cthe clog maker\u2019s house\u201d, has a fascinating history that dates back to its beginnings in March 1935.<\/p><p>Imagine going back in time to the time when Camille Ballofy, a remarkable figure, bought this land and decided to build his own home there. But that&#039;s not all! This house was designed to be much more than just a place of residence. It also houses Camille Ballofy&#039;s study as well as the headquarters of his association.<\/p><p>If you look closely at the fa\u00e7ade, you will notice unique artistic details. The bas-reliefs that adorn the house, sculpted by the Lyon artist Alice Ronjat-Sapet, depict characters dressed in traditional Auvergne costumes, surrounded by a frieze of clogs. These sculptures undoubtedly evoke the origins of Camille Ballofy, who is originally from this region.<\/p><p>On December 3, 1943, she left her home and remained untraceable until the Liberation. After the war, she became a lawyer at the Court of Appeal of Lyon.
