Housed in a former 17th- and 18th-century Benedictine convent, the Museum of Fine Arts is one of the largest art museums in France outside of Paris. Its collections span all periods and civilizations: paintings by Rubens, Monet, Matisse, and Degas; sculptures; and Egyptian, Greek, and Roman antiquities. A must-see cultural destination in the heart of the Presqu'île, just steps from Place des Terreaux.
