There House of Lawyers is an iconic Renaissance monument in Old Lyon, located at 60 rue Saint-Jean, 69005 Lyon (France). Built in the 15th century, it exemplifies Renaissance civil architecture in Lyon and is distinguished by its Tuscan gallery and arcaded inner courtyard. Formerly the seat of the Bar Association, it now houses a museum popular with visitors.
Architecture and history
The building, completed around 1516, consists of three sections linked by a courtyard surrounded by twelve arcades resting on three levels of superimposed galleries. It served as the Lyon Bar Association until 1990, before being restored as part of the protected area designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Current function
The House of Lawyers is hosting today the Lyon Museum of Cinema and Miniatures, dedicated to special effects and film sets. Visitors can thus discover, in addition to the exhibition, the remarkably preserved architectural details of the house.

This site is one of the most visible and accessible Renaissance residences in the Saint-Jean district.
