The Bourse du Travail is a Lyon landmark steeped in history, blending Art Deco architectural heritage, social memory, and vibrant programming. Its large hall offers acoustics and capacity well-suited to concerts and popular shows, while the entire building remains a powerful symbol of the city's trade union and cultural life.

The Lyon Labour Exchange is a building constructed between 1929 and 1936, designed by the architect Charles Meysson, and officially inaugurated in 1935.

Presentation and history

The Bourse du Travail was initially conceived as a meeting and organizing space for Lyon's trade unions and workers; it gradually came to host public meetings, congresses, and performances. The large main hall is named the Albert-Thomas Hall.
