e Fourvière Hotel Spa is located within the **Fourvière Hotel****, a 4-star establishment housed in the former Visitation convent on Fourvière hill. The hotel has 75 rooms, whose doors pay homage to historical figures from Lyon.
The wellness area is reserved for hotel guests and offers a calm, bright and intimate setting, high above the city.

The Fourvière Hotel spa is part of the "« Fourvière-Les-Bains »", which is free for customers. It includes:
- A spa dedicated to relaxation,
- A 25-meter swimming lane,
- A boules court,
- a pool integrated into the wellness area.
This space is designed as a haven of tranquility, bathed in natural light, with a view of the heights of Lyon.
🏛️ A place steeped in history
The building is an old Visitation Convent, built in 1854 by the architect Pierre-Marie Bossan, also the architect of the Basilica of Fourvière. It features a symmetrical architecture in brick, white limestone and Couzon stone, organized around a cloister.
The site has had several uses:
- boarding school (until 1903),
- reception of wounded soldiers during the First World War,
- nursing school,
- deposit of the Archives of the Hôtel-Dieu (from 1974).
The renovation carried out by Jean-Luc Mathias and Marianne Borthayre has made it possible to preserve the spirit of the place while adapting it to its new hotel vocation.
