Housed in the former Gestapo headquarters in Lyon, the CHRD (Center for the History of the Resistance and Deportation) is a moving memorial. Through testimonies from resistance fighters, previously unseen archives, and reconstructions, the museum retraces life under the Occupation and the involvement of Lyon's people in the Resistance. A film about the trial of Klaus Barbie completes this essential, historical, and profoundly human experience.
