Marcello Rota, the world-renowned conductor, initiated this project. The music will be performed by internationally acclaimed soloists, intimately familiar with the history of Italian and world cinema, who, under the masterful direction of Maestro Morricone, have given over 500 concerts across all continents. Film Music: "THE GODFATHER", "THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY", "THE PROFESSIONAL", "ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA", "LA PIOVRA" AND OTHERS… Performed by the Symphony Orchestra: Conducted by MARCELLO ROTA (ITALY) Soloists: LUDOVICO FULCI, NELLO SALZA, SUSANNA RIGACCI (ITALY) A Meeting with Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota Today, the two men are considered absolute icons of film music. The show retraces the most important moments of the two composers' careers; from the illustrious songs of the 60s to the melodies written for Sergio Leone's films and those created for Hollywood. Performers: Marcello Rota (Conductor) The artist has performed in the most prestigious concert halls in Europe since 1995. He has conducted numerous orchestras, including the San Carlo Orchestra in Naples, the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Enti Arena in Verona, the Italian National Orchestra, the Italo-Swiss Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Munich State Opera. Susanna Rigacci The Swedish singer of Italian origin trained at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence. Her performances in the soundtracks of Morricone films such as "The Good, the Beast and the Ugly," "Once Upon a Time in the West," and "A Fistful of Dynamite" have made her internationally renowned. Ludovico Fulci A piano graduate of the Santa Cecilia and Licinio Refice Conservatories in Frosinone. He began his career in film music in 1987, initially as a pianist and keyboardist, then as an arranger, working with many of the most illustrious film composers. Nello Salza studied trumpet at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. He began his career with the Orchestra of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and later worked for the Rome Opera. Today, he is Principal Trumpet of the National Academy of Sicily, the Regional Orchestra of Tuscany, and the RAI National Symphony Orchestra.
