Music and songs by Chen Minhua, Liu Fanqing, Liu Wei, Zhong Lifeng. Lost in the middle of a desert after his plane crashes, a French aviator meets a Chinese child, and to understand each other, they begin to draw. They share their perspective on the world, revealing the greatest emotion in the infinitely small. An old actor crosses their path; perhaps it is the poet Du Fu? Through poetry, drawing, and music, people seem to recognize one another, bond, and together create a possible reality. Jean Bellorini continues his collaboration with the Yang Hua Theatre team. He envisions a musical piece in which singers from the independent Chinese music scene take on the story of The Little Prince. François Deblock, a longtime collaborator, joins him for this production, which will take place in Beijing in November. In today's chaotic world, where the voices of hatred soon drown out words of peace and brotherhood, Jean Bellorini invites us to rediscover The Little Prince in a new light: may this celebration of friendship and solidarity be a prayer for humanity.
