For the 2026 European Heritage Days, the City of Lyon is exceptionally opening its doors to you. City Hall. Built between 1646 and 1672 and then restored by Jules Hardouin-Mansart after a fire, this architectural gem, listed as a Historical Monument, majestically overlooks the Place des Terreaux and the Place de la Comédie.
During this self-guided tour, explore the sumptuously decorated reception rooms, admire the gilding, period paintings, exceptional chandeliers and discover the Mayor's office as well as the magnificent courtyard.
The event is entirely free. Free entry (a VIGIPIRATE security check will be carried out at the entrance, expect a potential waiting time during peak hours).
