On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2026, THE Elysée Theatre opens its doors for guided tours exceptional. This iconic venue in Lyon's 7th arrondissement, a former cinema with a balcony dating back to at least 1914, is now an experimental theatre dedicated to contemporary creation.

During this approximately 45-minute tour, you will explore the historically rich spaces of this unique building, which connects to a gallery in a courtyard building used as a theatre foyer and exhibition space. You will discover how this venue has reinvented itself, evolving from its early days as a cinema to a vibrant and experimental theatre, all while preserving its original soul and architecture.

An immersion into the history of live performance in Lyon, between architectural heritage and cultural memory.
