Explore the architecture and behind-the-scenes workings of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon

On the occasion of the 2026 European Heritage Days, the macLYON offers you a unique architectural tour to discover the secrets and behind the scenes of the building designed by the famous Italian architect Renzo Piano.

Integrated into the Cité Internationale complex, the museum is distinguished by its red terracotta façade and its modular interior structure, entirely designed to accommodate the most daring contemporary art exhibitions. The tour takes you from the main hall to spaces usually closed to the public, allowing you to understand the spatial design and scenographic challenges of such a building.
