On the occasion of the 2026 European Heritage Days, the Croix-Rousse Theatre opens its doors for an exclusive guided tour. Located in the heart of the Croix-Rousse plateau, this iconic Lyon cultural landmark invites you to discover its architectural secrets and what goes on behind the scenes.
Built in 1931 and approaching its centenary, the building has been awarded the label remarkable contemporary architecture. Designed by Michel Roux-Spitz (a student of the famous Lyon architect Tony Garnier), this monument is distinguished by its reinforced concrete and slag structure, its roof terrace and its assertive Art Deco style.
The event is entirely free but requires a prior registration near the theatre.
