On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2026, THE Doctor Mérieux Museum of Biological Sciences organizes a guided walk A unique exploration of Lyon's medical heritage. This urban tour invites you to understand how the city has adapted its healthcare practices in response to the epidemics that have plagued it over the centuries.
During this 1.5-hour walk, you will explore Lyon's hospital heritage and discover the leading figures of Lyon's medical history who have shaped the city. A unique opportunity to delve into an essential yet often overlooked aspect of local heritage, a blend of scientific innovation and collective memory.
This walk is organised by the Doctor Mérieux Museum of Biological Sciences, an institution dedicated to the preservation and transmission of the history of medicine and biology.
