I discovered My Little Babka while enjoying an absolutely incredible brioche: soft, fragrant, hand-braided, with that buttery, traditional flavor that captivates you from the first bite. And when you learn the story behind these babkas, you understand why they're so good.
Originally: a story of passion, family, and passing down traditions
My Little Babka is the story of Lisa Meier, founder and soul of the project.
After a career working in the restaurant industry, she felt the pull of the kitchen and decided in 2018 to change her life. Destination Ferrandi Paris, where she obtained her CAP Pâtisserie (French vocational qualification in pastry).
«"There, I discovered a passion for leavened dough: the kneading, the magic of rising, the smell of warm butter... it all took me back to my childhood."»
As a child, Lisa spent hours in the kitchen with her mother and grandmother.
It is in homage to the latter — her Babushka — that she created My Little Babka.
Babka: a brioche that transcends time
Originally from Poland, the babka once resembled a kugelhopf, unfilled, baked in a mold reminiscent of the skirts of "babushkas".
Today, it is reinventing itself: brioche dough, gourmet filling, delicate braiding.
