Lyon pedestrianizes the northern part of Rue de la République

Since the summer of 2025, the northern section of Rue de la République, between Cordeliers and Les Terreaux, has been pedestrianized. This major change is part of the "Presqu'île à vivre" urban project, led by the City and Metropolis of Lyon to prioritize pedestrians and soft mobility.
